One Sheet Wonder ~ Painted Harvest

Hello Everyone ~ I did another One Sheet Wonder and came up with this One Sheet Wonder ~ Painted Harvest.

Well the cookie making was interesting.  We started out with everyone helping.  Within 10 minutes of starting the kids disappeared and it was the adults making the cookies.  We made 3 different kinds ~ Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip, and Mexican Wedding Cakes.  We were finished by noon and cleaned up not long after that.  Needless to say the cookies were very good and the kids hit them hard.  We did curtail how many they ate but with 8 people eating them it does not take it long.  Then last night we went to Flat Iron Farm.  This is a local farm that decorates and you can drive through as well as get out and check out the animals and displays in the barns.  It is always fun to visit there each year.  Jess is working this morning and then we are going to go to King’s Dominion tonight to see the lights there.  We are taking my car as it will carry 8 people.  Should be an interesting trip!

I played with the One Sheet Wonder technique using the Painted Harvest set this time.  I used Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green, and Mango Medley.  Normally to do a One Sheet Wonder you stamp your images all over the paper and then cut the paper up to create your cards.  To make my One Sheet Wonder, I divide the paper into 4 panels.  When I first started doing these I would divide the sheet up and draw lines.  That way I know where each panel for my card would be.  Now I just eyeball the centers.  I began by stamping my flowers down the center and across the bottom where each panel would be.  Then I stamped my leaves all around the flowers.  Here is what my sheet looked like when I was finished.

After I had my sheet completed I cut it in half and then cut the sheet in half again.  This gave me 4 panels.  I chose one panel and decided which way I wanted to orient the panel.  The panel then had to be cut it down to 4″ x 5 1/4″.  I took some linen thread and wrapped it around the top of the panel 3 times and secured it on the back.  This panel was added to a Blackberry Bliss card base.  Using the linen thread I created a multiloop bow and attached it to the card using a glue dot.  I wanted to add a sentiment so I used the Seaside Notions to stamp it in Blackberry Bliss.  I used the Layering Ovals to cut it out along with a larger scalloped oval and attached the 2 ovals together.  The sentiment element was added to the card base using dimensionals.  Here is my completed One Sheet Wonder ~ Painted Harvest creation.

One Sheet Wonders are great techniques to use to create cards. Check out my different version of the One Sheet Wonder ~ Painted Harvest card.

Here are some ideas for other cards using the One Sheet Wonder technique or the Painted Harvest set.  Here is an idea that uses designer series paper to create different Christmas cards.  This card uses a One Sheet Wonder with the Daisy Lane bundle.  Here is a card that uses the Painted Harvest set with a Watercolor technique.
